Suit yourself for an amazing experience. Beginn the day with a brisk walk around the block or through a park. It’s best if you can get some stairs and hills to climb in and if you either have a short circuit that you can repeat easily on. Daily, if exercising is new to you. If you get bored do some step variations, like walking sideways, backwards, light jumps etc.

What nutrition data can I track besides calories?

  • Yes, MyFitnessPal uses a BMR calculator to help you set calorie goals.
  • Others above said it doesn’t sync to TR, which is true.
  • This one is hands down the best.

I’d probably rather go for clean repetitions in the push-up/pull-up variants, squats, step-ups (so that you don’t trip) etc. Work yourself up with an increase of +1 repetition/workout until you are back at your previous sticking point. I took a look at Hevy this morning. It’s basically a workout tracking app. There are some pre-programmed routines, or you can create routines with some basic knowledge, but it doesn’t look like it is coaching you. I like using a simple training journal to track workouts and progress. But I’m sure an app is more efficient. I have the paid version and I think it’s fairly cheap for what it offers. She is smart, funny, raw, and unfiltered. It is well thought out programming at its best. She builds on what you have learned while keeping it fresh and engaging. Have been through all the apps there are. Integrates with Strava in a very cool way, puts all the sets and weights into the description and makes a chart of the muscles worked. Simple interface when in the gym. But with Strong I can see all my previous workouts, all my previous lifts of a specific exercise, and I can easily copy/paste the workout from Strong to a TrainingPeaks comment as text for my coach to see. I use Strong but it’s definitely simple and does what it does well but doesn’t have many bells and whistles. If I was doing more than I do now (1-2 lifts per week with super simple repeating structure) then I’d be looking for something else. Understand how much strain you’re under, how it affects your body, and how to adjust for progress without burnout.

Integrated rep & weight tracking to visualize your progress, get PR alerts, and manage training notes in one place. Using keylifts (used strong before). I think it‘s very neat, especially if you train with a trainingmax and percentages.

Livity: Sleep & Health Tracker

But I would probably just stick to a classical bodyweight/calisthenics routine without the ticking clock. That you just have to invest 7 minutes fitted well with our “magic bullet for a quick fix” seeking society. That you will actually stay in shape and healthy with just 7 min. of time investment is basically just a “myth” created by mainstream media, which—as per usual—misinterpreted studies.

Get fit and strong with just your body, gravity, and very little equipment.
